2-Alarm Fire in South Rockville

February 12, 2013 – RVFD and MCFRS units were dispatched just after 6am to a Washington Gas repair truck dispatch facility on Nebel St. in south Rockville. First arriving units found heavy fire inside the garage with vehicles on fire. A second alarm was requested.

After initially fighting the blaze with handlines, command determined a defensive attack with master streams was necessary. In addition to the vehicle fires, tires stored inside the garage were also involved. More details will be provided as they become available. There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
