Annual Awards Ceremony Held

January 4, 2013 – RVFD held its annual award ceremony at the Apollo Restaurant in Rockville. The awards presented to volunteer members for their service included:

Distinguished Service Award – presented to a member with at least 20 years of service who has contributed in multiple ways during their entire volunteer service time.

 Deputy Chief Leonard Chornock

 Chief’s Award – presented to a member who has contributed during the year above and beyond expectations to the department’s operations.

Deputy Chief Craig Lazar

 President’s Award – presented to a member who has contributed during the year above and beyond expectations to the department’s administrative activities.

Vice President Matt Frank

Firefighter of the Year – presented to a volunteer, who is not an officer, who has contributed during the year above and beyond expectations to the department’s fire operations division.

 Firefighter/Rescuer III Casey King

EMS Member of the Year – presented to a volunteer, who is not an officer, who has contributed during the year above and beyond expectations to the department’s emergency medical services division.

EMS Provider II Victor Graves

Officer of the Year – presented to an officer who has contributed during the year above and beyond expectations to the department’s operations.

Captain Christopher Hinde

 Shift Member of the Year – selected by each duty shift and awarded to the shift member who has contributed above and beyond expectations to the shift’s operations.

Monday Night Shift – Diana Huestis

Tuesday Night Shift – Courtney Shay

Wednesday Night Shift – Ian Hunter

Thursday Night Shift – Alex Cederbaum

Sunday Night Shift – Matt Rancourt

Weekend Daytime Shift – Brenda Mannix
