David Morgan (15) a member of North Potomac Boy Scouts Troop 291, is working towards becoming an Eagle Scout. One of the activities required is to select, plan and lead a community service project. David decided he wanted to help an organization he admires and supports, the Rockville Volunteer Fire Department.
On Sunday March 2, 2014, he and about 30 other Scouts and parent volunteers constructed a new picnic table and benches and a “corn hole” game set. They also cleaned up the small patio next to Station 3 and put down mulch.
The members of RVFD express their deepest appreciation to David and his fellow Scouts. The picnic table will be used often in the summer months. We wish David best of success in his endeavor to become an Eagle Scout and hope he and his fellow Scouts consider becoming volunteer firefighters when they reach age 16.
Another Excellent Eagle Project from Troop 291! Congratulations David..
