MoCo Requires CO Detectors

Beginning July 1, 2019, a new law in Montgomery County will require many existing single-unit, two-unit and townhouse dwellings to have Carbon Monoxide Alarms located outside sleeping areas and on every level of a home. Carbon Monoxide (CO) Alarms are designed to emit an alarm when high levels of CO are detected but before they reach life-threatening levels. RVFD Volunteers Participate in the “Every 15 Minutes” Program

EVERY 15 MINUTES A PERSON IS KILLED IN A DRUNK DRIVING RELATED COLLISION. Rockville Volunteers have made it their goal to help reduce the chance of injury or death from alcohol related collisions. RVFD Announces Purchase of New Aerial Tower

RVFD is proud to announce the purchase of a new Seagrave Fire Apparatus – 95′ Aerialscope Tower Ladder. This new unit will serve as Tower 703 running out of RVFD Station 3 located at 380 Hungerford Dr. in Rockville. Fire Damages Day Care Center

January 27, 2019 – RVFD and MCFRS units battled heavy fire and cold weather conditions on Sunday that damaged the Georgetown Hill Early School located at the Woodley Gardens Swim Club on Nelson St. E703B and AT723 were originally dispatched at 8:15pm for an automatic fire alarm. RVFD happily accepts donation of old vehicles. Donated vehicles are used for training purposes and are not re-sold. Once donated, RVFD is fully responsible for disposal. RVFD at National Fallen Firefighters Memorial

October 6 and 7, 2018 marked the 37th annual National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend held at the National Fire Academy in Emmittsburg, MD. The event was a chance for families, friends and colleagues to grieve and honor their loved ones killed in the line of duty in 2017. Council Recognizes Exceptional Service by RVFD and MCFRS

June 5, 2018 – Rockville Mayor Bridget Donnell Newton and the other members of the Rockville City Council presented certificates of recognition to the RVFD and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service at their meeting on June 4, 2018.
