March 25, 2014 – Station 3 units were dispatched to Rothgeb Dr. in Rockville for a reported large vehicle fire. Units found a medium-sized box truck with the engine compartment fully involved in flames. E703’s crew quickly extinguished the fire. There were no injuries. Basement Fire in N. Potomac

March 23, 2014 – RVFD and MCFRS units responded to a reported basement fire on Snapdragon Circle in N. Potomac. First arriving units found a two-story single family home with light smoke showing from the front door. E731’s crew discovered a fire in the basement ceiling. Wootton Pkwy Collision

March 21, 2014 – RVFD units responded to a reported collision on Wootton Pkwy. in the vicinity of W. Edmonston Dr. RS703, first on the scene discovered a small SUV that had run off the side of the road into some heavy bushes with the driver trapped in the vehicle. Boy Scouts Help RVFD

David Morgan (15) a member of North Potomac Boy Scouts Troop 291, is working towards becoming an Eagle Scout. One of the activities required is to select, plan and lead a community service project. David decided he wanted to help an organization he admires and supports, the Rockville Volunteer Fire Department. Evans St. Fire

March 3, 2014 – RVFD and MCFRS units responded to a reported house fire on Evans St. in Rockville. Upon arrival, units found a small fire behind aluminum siding apparently caused by the homeowner attempting to melt ice. The fire was quickly extinguished. Small Fire at City Facility

February 27, 2014 – RVFD and MCFRS units responded to a reported building fire at a City of Rockville facility on the Glenview Mansion property. Two Vehicle Collision

February 22, 2014 – RVFD units responded to a reported collision at W. Montgomery Ave. and Research Blvd. Units found two vehicles involved with one driver trapped in the vehicle due to the impact on the driver’s door. While waiting for the rescue squad to arrive, E731’s crew was able to pry the door open and the driver was extricated. After evaluation, the driver was transported to a local trauma center. February 12, 2013 – RVFD and MCFRS units were dispatched just after 6am to a Washington Gas repair truck dispatch facility on Nebel St. in south Rockville. First arriving units found heavy fire inside the garage with vehicles on fire. A second alarm was requested. Collision With Overturned Vehicle
