Willow Green Ct Fire – Feb 25, 2013 – RVFD and MCFRS units responded to a reported fire on the rear deck of a house on Willow Green Ct. in Potomac. A733, first arriving unit, reported heavy fire in the rear of the house with extension to the garage and interior.

Second Alarm in RockvilleJul 25, 2012 – RVFD and MCFRS units responded to a building fire at the Marlo Furniture store on Rockville Pike. First arriving units reported fire showing from the roof area on the rear of the building. Command requested the rapid intervention dispatch then a task force and ultimately a second alarm.

Potomac House Fire Jan 18, 2012 – At 8000 p.m. hours RVFD units responded to the 10600 block of Vantage Court in Potomac. Due to heavy fire conditions at the site, rescue services could only take a defensive position, trying to keep the fire from spreading. As of 8:37 p.m. the fire was under control, though there is extensive damage to the home. No injuries have been reported.

Trench Rescue At Potomac House March 22, 2008 – At 1245 hours units responded to the 11500 block of Patriot Lane, Company 33’s area, for the trench rescue. Engine 331 arrived on the scene confirming an adult male buried to his chest in a seven foot deep trench.

Potomac House Fire March 13, 2008 – At 1435 hours, Engine 331, Engine 33, Truck 3, Tower 23, Rescue Squad 3, Ambulance 339, and other Montgomery County Fire & Rescue units responded to the house fire in the 11900 block of Fallkirk Drive in Company 33’s area. Engine 331 arrived on the scene with smoke showing from a two story single family home.

Tractor Trailer Truck On Car With One Pinned & One Trapped January 4, 2008 – At 1804 hours, Ambulance 38, Medic 39, Rescue Squad 3, Engine 31, Engine 231, Medic 239 and other Montgomery County Fire & Rescue units responded to Northbound Interstate 270 CD lanes between Route 28 and Shady Grove Road for the tractor trailer on top of a car with people pinned.

One Pinned In Potomac March 4 , 2007 – At 0120 hours, Ambulance 339, Rescue Squad 3, Engine 331 and other Montgomery County Fire & Rescue units responded to Democracy Boulevard and Newbridge Drive for the personal injury collision with one pinned.

Heavy Fire In Twinbrook February 26, 2007 – At 2106 hours, units were dispatched to the 1400 block of Veirs Mill Road, box area 03-01 for the house on fire with people trapped.

SUV Explodes, Causing 3 Alarm Fire December 4, 2006 – At 0919 hours units responded to the 200 block of Congressional Lane, box area 2301, for the Hazmat Box, reported car into a gas meter with multiple explosions.

One Pinned, One Trapped November 14, 2006 – At 1428 hours Ambulance 38, Medic 39, Medic 239, Rescue Squad 3, Engine 31, and Engine 311 were dispatched to the intersection of Great Seneca Highway and Darnestown Road for the personal injury collision with one trapped and one ejected.

High Angle Rescue In New Library November 3, 2006 – At 0810 hours workers from the new Library across the street from Station 3 walked into the station and requested assistance for a worker stuck in a personal lift inside the library atrium.

Wreck Traps One & Closes Interstate 270 September 12, 2006 – At 1104 hours Medic 319, Rescue Squad 3, and Engine 311responded to the personal injury collision with rollover on Northbound Interstate 270 between Interstate 370 and Montgomery Village Avenue.

Apartment Fire In Company 31’s Area May 6, 2006 – At 0435 hours, Rockville units responded to the 300 block of Cross Green Street, Company 31’s area, for the apartment fire.

Four People, Including Firefighter, Burned At First Due House Fire February 9, 2006 – At 1705 Rockville units were dispatched to the 1200 block of Gladstone Drive, Company 3’s area, for the house on fire with three people trapped.

Two Trapped After Police Chase December 30, 2005 – At 0029 hours, Medic 39, Ambulance 339, Rescue Squad 3, Engine 33, and Truck 3 responded to the intersection of Beall Avenue and Upton Drive for two trapped after a police chase.

Heavy Fire For Company 31 November 19, 2005 – Rockville firefighters were kept busy today with a working fire in Company 31’s area. Company 31 arrived on the scene with heavy fire in an attached garage on sides “A” and “B”, extending rapidly through the attic, and eventually out the gable on side “D.”

Rockville Firefighters Deployed To New Orleans September 5, 2005 through September 18, 2005- Rockville firefighters were deployed to the city of New Orleans to fill in for the New Orleans Fire Department (NOFD) by responding to fires and other emergencies, clean and open stations, and support the NOFD in any capacity needed.

One Trapped at Norbeck Road and Bel Pre Road July 16, 2005 – At 1727 hours Rescue Squad 3 was dispatched to the intersection of Norbeck Road and Bel Pre Road for the personal injury collision. Car 155 arrived on the scene first and reported one trapped after the two car T-bone collision.

Lightning Strike Causes House Fire In PotomacJune 29, 2005- As heavy storms moved through Montgomery County, Rockville firefighters were dispatched to box area 3306, for the 9200 block of Fall River Lane, for the report of the house on fire after being struck by lightning.

Five Alarm Fire In Glenmont Destroys 42 Apartments June 19, 2005- After a slow day in Montgomery County, units were dispatched at 1548 hours to the 12100 block of Shorefield Court for the reported fire in the bathroom, box area 1801.

Overturned Vehicle With One Trapped – May 23, 2005 – At 1909 hours, Rockville firefighters responded to the intersection of Veirs Mill Road and Okinawa Avenue for a single vehicle overturned with one pinned.

Three Alarm Industrial Fire In Company 3’s First Due – May 19, 2005 – Rockville firefighters had their work cut out for them with a three alarm blaze in Company 3’s area at the Lafarge Concrete Facility. At 1626 hours, units were dispatched for the report of the building on fire in the 14900 block of Southlawn Lane, box area 03-19.
Wreck With Hazmat on Interstate 270 Followed By Trap Job April 16, 2004 – Rockville Volunteer Fire Department responded to both a tractor trailer wreck with hazmat on Interstate 270 and a trap job at Old Georgetown Road and Executive Boulevard.

Two Trailers On Fire In Company 3’s Area March 25, 2005 – At 2048 hours Company 3 was alerted to 14500 block of Southlawn Lane for two construction trailers on fire.

House Fire In Kensington February 12, 2005 – Rockville Volunteer Fire Department units responded to a house fire on Joseph Mill Road, in Kensington Company 21’s area. First units on the scene reported heavy fire on the first floor of a small single family home. Units from Rockville were Engine 231, Aerial Tower 23, and Rescue Squad 3.

One Pinned On Southlawn Lane – January 29, 2005 – At 0045 hours units were dispatched to Southlawn Lane and Sounthlawn Court for the report of the personal injury collision with one pinned. Company 3 arrived on the scene to find one priority 1 patient, one priority 2, two priority 3 patients, with a passenger pinned in the rear of one of the vehicles.

Three Alarm Apartment Fire In Twinbrook – January 27, 2005 – At 1334 hours, the Rockville Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the 13100 block of Twinbrook Parkway, box area 2303, for the reported fire in apartment 101 of the Rock Creek Woods Apartments.

Heavy Fire In Company 3’s Area – January 21, 2005 – At 1630 hours, Rockville Volunteer Fire Department units were dispatched to a reported house on fire on Bowie Rd. in Rockville. Chief 3-1 arrived on the scene with Rescue Engine 33 reporting heavy fire showing from sides “A” and “B” of the house.

Auto Pinned Under Tractor Trailer – January 13, 2004 – At 0338 hours, Rockville Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched for the report of two pinned in a car under a tractor trailer.

Two Trapped and Four Traumas – December 19, 2004 – At 1400 hours Rescue Engine 33 and Medic 239 were dispatched to the intersection of Bel Pre Road and Homecrest Road, Kensington VFD Company 25’s area, for the traffic collision with one trapped. Battalion Chief 4 and Company 25 units arrived on the scene to find a three vehicle collision with two trapped, four traumas, and three priority three BLS patients.

Leaking Propane Tank Causes Three Alarm FireDecember 3, 2004- A leaking propane tank and a series of explosions caused a three alarm fire in Rockville. At 0912 hours units were dispatched to 11710 Parklawn Drive, box area 2302, for the report of the cabinet shop on fire after multiple explosions.

Garage Collapse – November 29, 2004 – At 0903 hours personnel from the Montgomery County Urban Search and Rescue Team at Rockville Station 31, responded to the National Institute of Health for a parking garage collapse with one person pinned.
