RVFD Purchases New Engine


The Rockville Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. is please to announce we have contracted with Pierce Manufacturing to purchase a new pumper. The new pumper will be an Arrow XT model with the following specifications:

  • 1500 gpm pump
  • Compressed Air Foam System (CAFS)
  • 750 gal. tank
  • 2,000 ft of 4″ supply line
  • 2-cross-lays
  • 400′ 1 3/4″ hose
  • 300′ 2″ hose
  • 250′ of 2 1/2″ hose
  • 150 ft booster reel
  • Six person cab
  • Safety features that meet current NFPA 11901
  • Rollover protection – side airbag protection for all outboard seating
  • LED emergency lights

The engine is expected to be delivered in March 2015 and placed in service in May 2015 after training is completed.

The cost of the engine and equipment is approximately $750,000 and is being paid for by donations from our citizens and grant funds.
